Post-Renaissance Comparative Drama --
Assistant Professor

DESCRIPTION: The Department of English at Michigan State University seeks to fill a tenure-track position for Assistant Professor in post-Renaissance comparative drama, period and research area open, beginning August 16, 2008. Areas of interest might include gender, non-Western traditions, world drama and performance studies. Theoretical, interdisciplinary, and cross-cultural approaches especially welcome. The successful applicant will also contribute to the College of Arts and Letters programmatic emphasis on global studies including the development of an undergraduate major in Global Studies in the Arts and Humanities. 

QUALIFICATIONS:  PhD by August 2008; publications or strong promise of publication; college teaching experience preferred.
