2017 Excellence in Diversity Awards

MSU faculty, staff and students who have demonstrated their efforts toward a more diverse and inclusive community will be honored at the 2017 All-University Excellence in Diversity Recognition and Awards Program Feb. 13.

The ceremony will take place at 4 p.m. in Big Ten Room A of the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center.

The 2017 Excellence in Diversity award recipients from the College of Arts & Letters include:

Mohammad Hassan Khalil, associate professor of religious studies and the director of Muslim Studies Program was awarded the Individual Award: Emerging Progress. 

Michael K. Wilson, doctoral student in the African American and African studies program was awarded the Students Making a Difference Through Artistic Expression Award

Mary Peacock, masters student in studio art (visual) was awarded an honorable mention for the Students Making a Difference Through Artistic Expression Award. 

Jeffrey Wray, associate professor in the Department of English was awarded the Individual Award: Sustained Effort Toward Excellence in Diversity.
