Alumni Association

As a graduate of one or more of the many excellent departments that make up the College of Arts and Letters at Michigan State University, you should know that your college alumni association is active and here to support current students, faculty and YOU! as part of your network and connection to the arts and humanities.

Join us!
When you join the MSU Alumni Association, a portion of your membership dues directly benefit programs administered by the Arts and Letters Alumni Association, of which you become a menter automatically. The Arts and Letters Alumni Association Board of Directors acknowledge and assist:


FACULTY

Paul Varg Alumni Award for Faculty, presented annually to a veteran professor or associate professor who demonstrates the highest quality of overall academic achievement.

Alumni Award for Innovation and Leadership in Teaching and Learning, presented annually to an assistant, associate or full professor with the college between three and nine years who is a leader in teaching innovation.


STUDENTS

Alumni Award for Undergraduate Excellence, recognizing and rewarding deserving undergraduates with an academic major in the College of Arts & Letters.

Arts and Letters Alumni Endowed Book Scholarship and Robert L. Fiore Book Scholarship, providing $500 toward books and other expenses for at least nine College of Arts and Letters students each year.

Arts and Letters Student Group Grants, providing funding for events and other endeavors initiated by student-led academic groups and clubs in the College of Arts and Letters.


ALUMNI

Distinguished Alumni Award, presented annually during the spring commencement ceremony to honor an alumnus or alumna for outstanding professional accomlishments.


SPECIAL EVENTS

Each academic year the CAL Alumni Association hosts various events both on campus and across the country.
