National and International Fellowships and Scholarships

The College of Arts & Letters encourages qualified students to apply for National and International Fellowships and Scholarships. These nationally-competitive awards typically provide funding and support for graduate and/or international study in a variety of fields. Previous CAL students have been awarded Boren, Marshall, and Mitchell scholarships, just to name a few.

Recent Nominations

Two CAL students were nominated by MSU in October 2018 for nationally-competitive scholarships to support graduate study in the U.K. or Ireland. Congratulations to Abigail Crick, a senior Citizen Scholar majoring in English, on her nomination for a Marshall Scholarship and to Kaitlin Lenhard, a 2017 graduate with a degree in Global Studies in the Arts & Humanities, on her nomination for a Marshall Scholarship and a Mitchell Scholarship.
