This is an experiential one-credit seminar held in Chicago designed to provide students the opportunity to explore various professional fields in nonprofits, community engagement, and social impact including visits to:
- The Field Museum
- After School Matters
- Rotary Club International
- And more!
Students will engage with people working in a variety of nonprofit fields, get a behind-the-scenes look at organizations, explore various professions, tour facilities, network with industry professionals, and discover the city of Chicago.
Application Deadline: March 31, 2017
Dates: May 11-16, 2017
Course Offerings: One-credit course in AL 250 or AL 491.
Housing: Students will be housed in double rooms in a hotel.
Eligibility: 2.0 GPA. Undergraduate and graduate students are eligible.
Program Fee: $750
Program fee includes housing (hotel), roundtrip Amtrak tickets from East Lansing, bus/subway pass in Chicago, daily breakfast at the hotel, some group meals, and various activities.
Program fee does not include MSU tuition, additional meals and personal spending money. Tuition costs vary depending on class standing, graduate/undergraduate and resident/non-resident status. Visit MSU Student Accounts for information on tuition rates.
