Arts in Los Angeles:
The Business Side of Performance

Summer 2016 is the 3rd offering of our Arts in Los Angeles Study Away Program. Students will spend four weeks with Department of Theatre Professor Mark Colson, exploring the business of acting and learning the industry of acting and directing in L.A. The courses will include visits with casting directors, agents, screenwriters, directors, producers, and other actors.

Dates: 4 weeks, July 17-August 14, 2016

Course Offerings: Students will enroll in a minimum of eight credits. Courses are offered in Theatre, Interdisciplinary Arts & Humanities (IAH), and Special Topics in Arts & Letters.

Housing: Students will be housed in dorm-style accommodations on a college campus near Los Angeles.

Eligibility: Sophomore status, 2.0 GPA. Space is limited.

Program Fee: Pending, likely between $3250-$3750

Program fee includes housing, some group excursions, some meals.
Program fee does not include MSU tuition, transportation to program, local transportation, books and materials, additional meals, personal spending money.
