Compensation Policy for Associate Chairpersons

A. Beginning with this appointment, the College of Arts and Letters will provide a $5,000 one-time allocation to the departmental budget, recurring salary line, to cover administrative increments associated with duties of the Associate Chairperson.

B. Future administrative increments offered to new Associate Chairs are then will be paid from departmental funds.

C. Retention of any of these funds in their recurring salary base by the Associate Chair, will be at the discretion of the units.

D. Funding for administrative increments for future Associate Chairs will then come from the recurring dollars available in the unit.
