College of Arts & Letters Support for Study Abroad

Ryder Scholarship
All MSU students who are planning to study abroad are eligible to apply for this scholarship. Past recipients have had a GPA 3.5 or above. The total amount of the award varies and is generally between $300 and $500. Announcements for this award are sent to all departments and schools within the College of Arts and Letter s, the deans of the College of Social Science and James Madison College, the director of the Honors College, and the director of the Office of Study Abroad. Application deadlines: November 1 at 12 p.m. noon for study abroad programs offered over the winter holiday break or spring semster; February 25 at 12 p.m. noon for study abroad programs offered during the summer, fall, or for an entire academic year. The John W. Eadie Scholarship in Arts & Letters for International Education
One scholarship is awarded annually to an Arts & Letters junior with a minimum GPA of 3.0 who will reach senior standing by the following fall semester. The amount of the award depends on available funds. The recipient is recognized at the spring Arts & Letters Awards Convocation. Application deadline: November 1, 12 p.m. noon.
